In 1897, Wyoming became home to the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration. Held annually in July, more than 200,000 fans pass through the Cheyenne Frontier Days Arena during the 10-day festival. In 2019, a multipurpose Event Center was constructed on the grounds complete with offices, meeting rooms, a VIP viewing area, and a ticketed Rooftop bar. It is atop this grand, 11,000 square-foot structure that WBS metal roofing is forever ingrained in Wyoming history.
Cheyenne Frontier Days
The first-ever Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration consisted of a one-day cowboy roundup. 125 years later, the internationally acclaimed event draws elite competitors — battling for over $1 million in cash and prizes — and spectators from around the globe along with numerous PRCA Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year awards. Each year the festival presents top-tier performers, like Keith Urban and Tanya Tucker, along with a host of activities and events, including:

Inman Roofing
Constructed in under a year in 2019, Inman Roofing completed the Event Center’s architectural wall panels and fascia, and a fully custom Tile Tech porcelain paver rooftop deck atop the Firestone TPO roof. In conjunction with Tile Tech, Inman made subtle adjustments to the architect’s original design, ensuring the deck would withstand decades’ worth of rowdy crowds.

WBS Metal Roofing
In the Spring of 2019, Western Building Supply was approached by Charles Livermont, of Inman Roofing, about a potential job opportunity in Cheyenne. He asked if WBS was capable of manufacturing a 5V panel. It just so happens that a month earlier, WBS had been toying with that panel profile in its new double folder. After learning the specifics, WBS signed on to the Event Center project.
To guarantee the job was completed before that year’s Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo, WBS ramped up production, ensuring Inman had every piece necessary to stay on schedule. When hiccups arose – as they do with any large job – orders were rushed to keep the project on track.

Cheyenne Frontier Days 2021
Though it was canceled in 2020 for the first time in history, due to the pandemic, the show will go on this year!
