Western Building Supply is a family-owned business run by brothers, Robert and Bruce Hilty. Together, they have 50 years of construction experience. WBS specializes in the supply and manufacturing of premium steel siding, roofing, wood trusses, laminated columns, and custom pole barn kits. Our retail shop and showroom offer lumber, culverts, hand tools, power tools, fasteners, shingles, insulation, windows, doors, garage doors, construction supplies and more.

Our team is made up of amazing folks in truss and steel production, yard and delivery fulfillment, business management, and sales. Ask any of us our favorite thing about coming to work, and we’ll all say, the people. At WBS, we value teamwork, honesty, and integrity and come to work each day proud to do our part. Weather

If you like to watch the seasons change, then Wheatland is where it’s at! The summers are warm and mostly clear while the winters are cool and sometimes windy. We don’t get much rain, and over the course of the year, the temperature varies from 20°F to 89°F — rarely falling below 3°F or above 97°F.
